Pierce Brosnan Parade/Street/Bond Street and variations of this. The reason for the choice is fairly obvious and was worthy of consideration.
Andy Brennan Street / Way /Parade and variations of this. For those who don’t know who Andy Brennan was, a brief history is that Andy Brennan was a member of Navan Town Council for a long number of years and was an activist in Navan Town on behalf of the people. A controversial figure, he was not shy of speaking out on many local issues. The Local Authority recently named the new park in Navan after Andy Brennan.
Paddy O Brien Street/Parade and variations of this. For those who don’t know who Paddy O Brien is, we include a number of notes. Paddy O Brien hails from Navan and has been active in O Mahony’s Hurling and Football Club for the past 60 years. He worked in the Post Office and retired as postmaster some years ago. He is well regarded by a large number of Navan People for his dedication to the youth of Navan and his commitment to training, motivation and general leadership of young teen’s right up to this day. Paddy O Brien is still active in his work with the youth.
Olympic Street/Way/Parade and variations of this. Obviously this was nominated in relation to the association of the competition with Special Olympics.

There has been a unanimous decision of the Judges to Name the street Paddy O Brien Street.

We are delighted here at Navan Town Centre that in union with our customers we are going to honor one of the bright names in our community in this significant way and hope that his continuing legacy of caring for others will continue with him for many years to come and that his example will be emulated by many more.
